Don't hang up...da da da...don't hang up....

For class last week, we did a phone-a-thon for an organization called Youth in Need. Well since I missed they sent a list of names to me and I had to call them and thank them for donating to Youth in Need...simple right....WRONG!!!! You would think I had the swine flu or something...it was like I was Dennis the Menace's mother, on the movie, when they are trying to find a babysitter and pretty much everyone hangs up on her. All I could think about was the song they play during that part that goes something like this..."don't hang up da da da da...don't hang up". Geeze, I wasn't even asking for money people!!! I just wanted to say THANK YOU! Note to self...NEVER hang up on someone...so RUDE!

Utah Conference

We had a full fun week in Utah this last week. Joe had a conference in Salt Lake so Brindi and I tagged along. We had so much fun we almost decided to stay until Christmas...but 9 weeks was just a little to long to be away from Joe :). We had a great week going, going, going! We got to see almost all of Joe's family, spent time with Brennon and Trista at BYU, saw my friend Aubrey from SVU, went to Gardner Village to see the witches, played lots of games, ate way to much yummy food, and enjoyed the Utah fall weather! For the first time Brindi didn't want us every second and even Dad came second to Grandma and Grandpa!

Thanks to Uncle Jonathan, Brindi was always able to find a Dr. Pepper to drink...no matter how early.

Note to parents...If you want this on a plan ride...make sure to have 1. a computer, 2. Toy Story, and 3. a snack

Dax and Brindi...about two seconds later, she almost pushed him off.

Grandpa had the job of keeping Brindi, Kadee, and Easton occupied while we played games...It worked like a charm.

Brindi adored her Grandma and loved riding with Grandpa on the 4-wheeler.

Having fun with the cousins at Gardner Village.

Playing with Dad at Oak City Canyon.
We woke Brindi up to take fall pictures...and this is what we got. One grouchy girl, who didn't take one good fall picture!

Turning on the Heat

Okay so its not that cold yet, but we did turn on our heat this morning. The weather has changed and there is a little nip in the air. Fall is on its way, we hope. The rest of the pictures are just some cute shots of Brindi.
We love this girl. So cute!
Thanks Grammy for our Halloween Package, especially the Jerky:)
Time for Prayer. She also tries to close her eyes by rolling back.

Trenton Wyatt

I keep telling Trent and Adelle that they need to start blogging, but they haven't...oh well, I guess that means I get to blog for them and write anything I want. :) So here it goes. Trent and Adelle had a little baby boy on September 11th. His name is Trenton Wyatt Hancock. Adelle is a champ and didn't need the hospital or an epidural! I wish I could have been there to see Trent's face through it all. Trent was always the one who fainted when we butchered the chickens and who vomited when he smelt a stinky diaper. So the fact that he had to help deliver Wyatt makes me laugh...Anyway, I'm sure if they had a blog they could give all the details, but this is all I know, Wyatt is really cute and a really good baby who sleeps 4 hours at a time...lucky parents! Congrats Trent and Adelle, we can't wait to meet our little nephew!

A Friendly Visitor

This is what I came home to the other day. Brindi gazing under our porch oooing and aaahing and pointing frantically under the step. So I bent over to see what all the fuss was about and it seems we had a visitor wander into our back yard. So I reached under and pulled out our new little friend, a turtle! This got Brindi all excited not knowing what to do next. I placed it up on the step so she could get a better look at. After seeing me touch it she got enough courage to take a swip at it herself. We actually did not want her to touch it but oh well. We then put him back on the ground and he continued on his path beneath our porch. He just stopped off for a friendly visit that made Brindi's day.

No Animals Needed!

We went to the zoo with some friends the other day and were able to get into the petting zoo part for free( Thanks Karlee!) Brindi thought it was all pretty fun, but after we passed the water shoots it was all over! All she wanted to do was go from one shoot to the other and laugh. Needless to say I spent the rest of the time trying to distract her and find something else to look at, but it was in vain...she always just ran back to the water. Funny girl....next time we'll skip the Zoo and head for a water park. She wouldn't even hold still long enough for us to get a picture, so this is the only one that she is at least facing the camera!

Petersen and Hancock Reunions

We are finally catching up. The 24th of July is the time for both of our families reunions. Celeste drove out to Utah a week early and stayed with my family allowing Brindi to get some grandparent attention. I flew out the day before the 24th. We headed to the Parade and watched the rodeo later that night. We then headed to Rock Candy Mountain (pictured above) for the Petersen reunion. We had a blast on the river, playing card games, riding the 4-wheelers and being sick as a dog, all 3 of us. Then I flew back home and Celeste headed to Arizona for the Hancock reunion. They headed to the mountain for games and family fun.
