It Begins...

Brooke loves to be like Brindi. For example if I comb Brindi's hair I have to comb Brooke's. My mom called and wanted me to measure Brindi for a skirt and Brooke made me measure her too. Now when I cook I have two chairs pulled up next to me with four little hands wanting to help and it is tears if they both don't get to help stir. You get the point. So this last week Brooke has started putting on Brindi's dress-up dresses it was so cute I just had to get a picture.  Then yesterday Brin wanted to put my curlers in her hair and Brooke had to have them too...they are so funny. I love it, now if we could get them to stop teasing each other constantly our lives as parents would be SO much easier.

1st Day of Preschool

Brindi has started preschool. She seems to like it. I asked her how she liked it and she told me she isn't friends with everyone because she doesn't know their names and it didn't matter how I tried to explain that she should ask them their names and get to know them because that is how we make friends, she just kept telling me, nope Mom I don't like them because I don't know them.(Hopefully that changes) The teacher told me she sat like a perfect little student the whole time. Last Friday when I took her and Joe was still home she didn't want to go because she wanted to go outside and play and wanted to know why Brooke wasn't coming. She then asked me what I did while she was at school. Then when I went and got her and asked her if she was liking school she said she did, but didn't know if she was going to like it next year when she had to go all day long because that wouldn't be fun.  I have to admit I HATE to have her gone. I think preschool is overrated, but since our school district doesn't have half day K and they don't get out until 4, I really think she needs something to prepare her. I just feel like it's our last year together before she has school for the next 14-18 years of her life, even if it is only 7 1/2 hours a week :) and part of me wants her to spend it with Brooke and me...As you can see I think I need to let go a little :)

Soccer at Vetta

The indoor soccer arena, Vetta Sports, had a free family day so we took a trip to play a little soccer with the girls.  They also had some other fun activities like balloons, face painting, coloring contests, etc.  The girls had a great time.  Brindi got some big balloon butterfly wings she could wear and then told the man Brooke would like a flower rose which Brindi somehow made hers as well.  I also got in on the action and got a balloon cross-bow that actually shot balloon arrows.  It was pretty sweet!
We finally got out on the field and had a pretty good time kicking the ball around.  Both girls seemed to enjoy it.
