Pumpkin Patch

Friday afternoon we decided to take a trip to the pumpkin patch in Chesterfield. We went with our neighbors who have a little boy about the same age as Brindi. Most of the big pumpkins were not picked yet and they had a lot of rows but apparently no where near as many as they will later in October. It was a fun day for the kids though as they ran all over the place looking at pumpkins of multiple colors, gourds, scarecrows, old tractors and fire engines, corn mazes, a haunted shop, farm animals, and what Brindi was probably more excited for three playgrounds.

Peaches

Right before one of my great friends/running partner Rachel moved we decided to do one last play date together. Out in New Melle there is a little farm that has a few different orchards. So the last week they were doing peaches we headed on over. The people were so nice and gave all of the girls a peach to eat (just to get them hooked I think). Brin had a great time picking and had to have her own box. Lucky for me she was more interested in all the "good ones" on the ground and not on the trees. They were some of the best peaches I've ever tasted, so I was glad we had enough left over to get a few jars of peaches.

Labor Day

Labor day was pretty laid back for the most part. There really is not a lot of festivities for the weekend. Everyone seems to go to the lake! There was a parade downtown but we decided not to go. We did however spend a couple hours at the park.
Brindi walked the whole way to the park while pushing her baby in the stroller.

Brooklyn loved swinging as you can tell by the smile.

Girls swinging together.

Brindi loves this camelback ripoff and always wants to pack it around while sucking on the water tube. I keep telling her it is a little big but that does not seem to matter to her:)

Brooke's Stats....

We went to the Doctor this week and this is what we learned....
Brooke....
Weighs 15.5 lbs (14th%)

Is....
25 1/2 inches long(14th%)

Has a Head circumference of...
42.6 cm(30th%)
Brooke has become quite the grabber and loves food, as long as it isn't baby food. She really loves peas and hates bananas. She cries if you leave her alone in a room and loves to laugh when Brindi chases her around the house or plays peek a boo with her. We love her more and more each day especially since she finally started sleeping through the night :)

A visit from Adam

Our nephew Adam came to visit us as he was promised he would see the Red Sox in person as his Christmas present. Luckily for us the only dates that worked for him were when the Red Sox were playing Kansas City. So he flew out and we took him to the arch and around St. Charles and the Lewis and Clark landmarks. We then spent the rest of the weekend in Kansas City. We saw two great games and in between games we saw the church sites in Independence and Liberty. Sad to say we only took a couple pictures and didn't even get one with Adam in it. But we do promise he did come:) He did have a lot of pictures taken.
